    Eligibility Most services, including the collection of maintenance under administrative assessments or child support agreements, are provided for parents whose children were born or who separated on or after 1 October 1989. The agency also undertakes the collection of maintenance under a court order or court registered agreement for parents whose children were born and who separated before 1 October 1989

    Comment

    Helps separated parents to meet their child support responsibilities. The Child Support Agency does not deal with residence or contact for children (including parenting plans, property settlement or calculation of spousal maintenance). These issues are addressed by the Family Court of Australia, Adelaide Registry and Federal Magistrates Court - South Australian Registries

  • Registration of maintenance for court orders, court registered agreements, administrative assessments and child support agreements


  • Calculation and review of administrative assessments for child support - including changing child support assessments in special circumstances


  • Collection and payment of registered maintenance
